Global Energy to support commissioning of Gate LNG

A team of Global Energy's commissioning supervisors will join TS LNG in the commissioning phase of Gate LNG terminal at Maasvlakte, Rotterdam in The Netherlands. The EPC contract awarded to the TS LNG consortium consisting of  Techint (Italy) and Sener (Spain) has reached pre-commissioning phase, as our team will be joining them for commissioning and startup. In the course of 2011 first LNG will be introduced in to the terminal followed by commercial operations.

Gate terminal is building the first LNG import terminal in the Netherlands with access to northwest Europe

On Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, Gate terminal is building the first LNG import terminal in the Netherlands. The terminal will have an initial throughput capacity of 12 billion m3 (bcm) per annum and will consist of three storage tanks and two jetty's. Annual throughput capacity can be increased to 16 bcm in the future. The terminal dovetails with Dutch and European energy policies, built on the pillars of strategic diversification of LNG supplies, sustainability, safety and environmental awareness. The initiators and partners in Gate terminal are N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie (Gasunie) and Koninklijke Vopak N.V. (Vopak).
