Global Energy at the Energy Trade Mission Vietnam March 2013
21 Mar 2013

Following up the first successful year, Aetin had organized another Energy Trade mission to Vietnam from 28 February 2013 to 7 March 2013. Global Energy, which is a founding member of Aetin, attended this mission to further develop business and forge a strong relationship with companies who are active in the oil & gas, power generation and energy sector in Vietnam.

Meetings with Vietnamese companies were arranged  in Hanoi, Vung Tau and Ho Chi Min City. In Hanoi we received a warm welcome at the PetroVietnam office. There we had discussions about future projects, among which Vietnam's second refinery Nghi Son, which will be located about 200 kilometers south of Hanoi.

Part of the program was the oil and gas networking dinner, hosted by the Dutch Ambassador Mr. Joop Scheffers, in Hanoi at the Ambassador's residence with Dutch and Vietnamese companies attending. At present the largest part of Vietnam's Oil &Gas industry is located in Vung Tau, so naturally this place could not be missed in the program. An unexpected, but well received surprise was the site visit at PVC MS in Vung Tau. Our final designation was HCMC. There we attended meetings with PV Gas, PV Engineering, PV EIC and Technip.

On the occasion of our visit, the Netherlands Consulate-General, Mr. Simon van de Burg, hosted  a buffet dinner.

“Although it was a busy program, we can look back on a successful and joyful trip to Vietnam” quoted Global Energy’s consultant Helene van Oosten.
